According to Sikhism, Seva, that is service to the wider community and volunteerism towards all people, especially those less privileged or under-served, is a fundamental tenet of what it is to be a Sikh. And it is this selfless service that Sikhs have gained their deserved reputation for kindness and charitability across the world. So it was notable that this was acknowledged publicly at the recent G20 summit in New Delhi where world leaders and an entourage of senior journalists met to discuss world events. Sikh journalist Ravinder Singh Robin recounted on Twitter, or X as it is now known, a brief but deeply meaningful encounter he had with John McGovern, the Strategic Global Director of “2 The Nations”, a US charity focussing on providing aid to Ukraine during its war with Russia. As Singh robin recounted in his post, McGovern took him warmly by the hand and, as he discovered, the reason being that McGovern always made a point to thank the Sikh community for the immense humanitarian help they had provided during the Ukraine war. #ravindersingh #g20 #ukraine #India #pakistan #usa #russia #nepal #china #srilanka #worldnews #internationalnews #news #breakingnews #globalnews #headlinestoday #newsheadlines #uknews #satlujtv #satlujnetwork #satlujnews #punjab #punjabnews #punjabimedia #sikhnews #sikhdiaspora #sikhsinusa #akalidal #bjp #indiannationalcongress #sarbatkhalsa #akaltakhat #canada #sikhsincanada #humanrights #amnestyinternational #humanrights #environmentnews #technews #science #politics #indianpolitics #worldpolitics #petrolium #oilandgas #gas #oil #animal #space #books #sikhstruggle Join us at: Website: www.satlujnetwork.com YouTube: / @satnetnews Facebook: www.facebook.com/tvsatluj Instagram: www.instagram.com/satlujtv Twitter: www.twitter.com/@SatlujTV TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@TVsatluj For more details: [email protected]
