Matchbox Brush Fire Truck (042)

On the bench today is a Matchbox International WorkStar Brush Fire Truck. It was originally produced from 2010-2013 and was retooled in 2014, and they’re still being cranked out. So, this is not the oldest diecast I’ve worked on, but it is by far the ugliest. The sole purpose of this makeover is cosmetic, and I’m definitely going to deep-6 the mustard yellow plastic body section. I’ll get rid of the flame job decals and redo them with something a bit more tasteful, I hope. Other than that, the casting is in good condition, as it’s relatively new, and all the original parts will be reused today. Enjoy this Brush Fire Truck makeover.
