How should the United States respond to China’s rise? How will the international balance of power change as the world’s economic center of gravity shifts to Asia? What are Asia’s prospects for peace and conflict in the 21st century? The answers to these questions are likely to profoundly shape international politics for generations to come and thus warrant more attention from both policymakers and scholars.
