The Ultimate Dollar Tree Crab Mac & Cheese For those nights when you're feeling seafood but you're on a dollar store budget, this one is pretty affordable for 4 servings. You will need: 2 boxes of mac and cheese 2 packs of imitation crab Panko bread crumbs Milk Seafood seasoning Cheese And margarine Directions: Into my skillet, I added both boxes of pasta, 3 cups of water, 1 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of margarine, the cheese powder packets, and about a teaspoon of seafood seasoning. Stir it, it’ll look a little clumpy, then turn the heat to medium-high and let it come up to a boil. The sauce will come together. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 7 minutes, stopping to stir occasionally. While that happens, this imitation crab is packed in a brine, so I like to rinse that off, and we can go ahead and shred it up while we rinse it. I’m also going to grate my cheese; now I’m using pepper jack, but you can also use cheddar or any cheese of your choice. And lastly, I am going to mix ⅔ of a cup of my panko with 2 tablespoons of melted margarine and a dash of seafood seasoning to make a crunchy topping Once your pasta is just about done, add in your crab and your shredded cheese. I left a little bit of cheese aside for topping, gave it a stir to mix it all together, and then topped it with my remaining cheese and my panko topping Bake this at 400ºF (204ºC) just until the top is brown; for me, this only took 8 minutes. #crabmacandcheese #seafooddinner #seafoodonabudget #dollartreedinners #dollartreemeals #gourmetonabudget #gourmetmealsonabudget #dollartreefood #dollartreegroceries
