U.S. coalition says Syria withdrawal has begun

The U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State militant group has started to withdraw from Syria. But, according to a spokesperson, the coalition will not announce a specific timeline or discuss troop movements due to security concerns. Meanwhile, Turkey says its planned military operation against Kurdish groups in Syria will not be affected by Washington's withdrawal.
