TMC alleges manipulation of votes in Nandigram; demands recounting

Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee led its party to one of the major political victories in the state of West Bengal. For the third consecutive time, Mamata Banerjee wins the election single handily defeating Bhartiya Janata Party. Along with West Bengal win, the other most important battle was Nandigram where BJPS’s Suvendu Adhikari defeated Mamata Banerjee by 1,736 votes. Yet, the TMC’S delegation has demanded a recounting of votes in Nandigram. The Election Commission has denied all the demands of TMC. TMC earlier had sent a letter to the Election Commission alleging that votes have been tampered with and mismanaged.
