Mobilizing Resources For GBV Programming and Coordination in COVID-19 Response

Travel restrictions due to COVID-19 prevent GBV responders from providing their normal level of in-country support. Therefore, GBV AoR organized a series of short, field-oriented webinars in English and French throughout March and April to ensure that technical support is constant during this global crisis. These webinars provide practical guidance on: 1.Impact of COVID-19 on women and girls: mitigating GBV risks 2.Your role as a GBV Specialist/Coordinator: what are the key actions related to COVID-19 that you need to implement? 3.Best practices on general GBViE preparedness: presentation from an expert 4.Linkages between GBV and drought: presentation of the latest research produced by IUCN 5.GBV Case management: focus on supervision The webinars were held every Thursdays in English and French from the 19th March 2020 for 6 weeks. The target audience is members of national and sub-national GBV sub-clusters and working groups and humanitarian actors in general.
