Watching Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), and Erica Sinclair (Priah Ferguson), along with Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) all working in sync again is incredibly satisfying, with every character playing a specific role. The plan to kidnap and drug the entire Turnbow family is completely insane, but it leads to some of the most fun moments of the season so far. In the Upside Down, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Jim Hopper (David Harbour) discovering that the military has a way to neutralize Eleven’s powers was shocking. Seeing her completely helpless raises huge questions about what the government is hiding and whether this has anything to do with Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), Dr. Brenner’s past experiments, or even another test subject like Eight. The biggest surprise for me was finally seeing Max (Sadie Sink) again and realizing she’s somehow with Holly. I have no idea how that’s possible, but I’m so happy she’s back and I cannot wait to see how that storyline connects to everything else!
