Here’s a short video showing Black Mountain Trail (2E35) near Idyllwild, CA. I come up to Black Mountain often, either to climb (Boulder) or just to enjoy nature and camp. It’s an easy off-road trail with epic views and a breathtaking sunset. This is a must do trail for anyone that lives in Southern California if you enjoy alpine scenery and want the feel of Big Bear without the crowds. Just make sure to pack out what you pack in and make sure to come prepared.
