He became widely known for his teachings on spiritual warfare, deliverance, and Christian Zionism. His book They Shall Expel Demons (1998) is particularly influential, addressing the reality of demonic influence in the lives of believers. In the 1970s, he co-founded the Shepherding movement with other ministers, emphasizing discipleship and pastoral care. Though the movement was controversial, it significantly impacted the Charismatic and Pentecostal communities. Prince authored over 50 books and recorded more than 900 audio teachings and over 100 video sermons. His works have been translated into numerous languages, reaching a global audience. His daily radio program, Derek Prince Legacy Radio, continues to broadcast his teachings worldwide. Prince married Danish missionary Lydia Christensen in 1946, adopting her eight daughters and later another. After Lydia's passing in 1975, he married Ruth Baker in 1978. They relocated to Jerusalem in 1981, where Prince continued his ministry until his death in 2003.
