One dead after crash near L-101 and Mountain View Road

One person is dead after a crash near Loop 101 and Mountain View Road Sunday evening. Officials say one other woman was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The crash happened when the driver of a pickup truck allegedly rear-ended an SUV, causing both vehicles to travel off the right side of the road. The pickup truck then rolled over into the canal, according to officials. The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene.
