At the Łepkowskis', 300 cows are fed by a Polish robot. This is Podlasie, this is the future!

Krzysztof Łepkowski and his family run a farm in Elżbiecin, near Grajewo (Podlaskie Voivodeship). Crops grown on 400 hectares (including leases) are entirely devoted to cattle breeding. The herd numbers 850 head, including 280 milking cows, housed in a modern barn. For nearly two months, the facility has been operating a Polish-made Euromilk Falcon automated feeding system. This is only the second such device installed by the Podlaskie manufacturer. Krzysztof Łepkowski admits that the decision to adopt this solution was risky, but initial impressions are very positive. This is confirmed by the results. Since installing the robot, the cows have increased their daily milk production by an average of 1.5 liters. The barn, which houses a total of 400 cattle, was opened in 2020. Even then, Krzysztof Łepkowski was already considering automating the cow feeding system and allocated space for a feed kitchen. For several weeks now, delivering roughage every few days has been the sole task when it comes to feeding the cows. Krzysztof Łepkowski recalls the beginnings of his farming business. Years ago, he started with 9 hectares and 8 head of cattle. Today, the scale is incomparably larger. However, the farmer emphasizes that this isn't the end, and if opportunities arise, he and his family will continue to expand the farm.
