The tumour is less than 2 cm in size and there are no lymph nodes implicated in the first stage of pancreatic cancer. Stage 2 tumours are larger than 2 cm but smaller than 4 cm, and they can involve up to 3 nodes. Stage 3 tumours are larger than 4 cm, involve surrounding blood vessels or organs, and include more than 3 lymph nodes. and in Stage 4, an advanced stage Remote organs have been affected by the disease.
