Former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha joined the Trinamool Congress ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections. After joining the TMC Party, Sinda along with other TMC leaders including Sudip Bandopadhyay and Derek O'Brien held a press conference. While addressing the media, Yashwant Sinha stated that ‘The country is facing an unprecedented situation today. The strength of democracy lies in the strength of the institutions of democracy.
