2012 Britcar Championship Round 5 Oulton Park

Driving alone for the full race duration, Martin Byford took a well-planned overall victory in the Bullrun Lotus Evora; the Class 3 car was always in contention due to canny strategy, and assumed the lead when the front-running Class 1 Mosler of Morcillo/Cintrano/White, and the Bailey/Schulz Ferrari had mid-race problems. Second overall, and heading Class 2, was Topcats team boss and occasional racer Warren Gilbert, after an amazing solo drive in the team's Marcos Mantis, whilst third was taken by the Tracktorque Chevron GR8 of Tommy Field and Chris Hart, one of several more Class 3 cars that rose through the order. The Class 4 contingent were beset by various concerns, but the reliable Motionsport Lotus Elise of Gary Coulson and Ben Gower came through the attrition to take class honours.
