"My name’s Chryz, and I’m a UHB apprentice"

Chryz began her time with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) as a Customer Services apprentice, in IT Services. She now helps bridge the gap between IT and clinical staff as a Junior IT Support Officer. “I was immediately surprised with how much responsibility I was given. I was heavily involved with big projects right from the off. I’d done an apprenticeship before in a different organisation straight out of school, but they never really gave me the opportunity to grow. It’s not like that here.” As a UHB apprentice you will: • Gain experience working in one of the highest performing NHS organisations • Receive a salary of £10,000 per year (plus holiday pay) • Work alongside experienced staff • Gain job-specific skills • Gain a recognised qualification (you will receive a study day each week with qualified assessors) To find out more, visit www.uhb.nhs.uk/apprenticeships.htm You can contact the Apprenticeships Team at UHB by email: [email protected]
