The new Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar brings off-road capability and rally-inspired style to the brand's electric SUV lineup. Based on the Q8 e-tron 55 quattro, this special edition model features a raised chassis, aggressive all-terrain tires, and optional decals paying homage to Audi's Dakar Rally entrant. With 31mm of extra ground clearance, the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar has improved approach and departure angles for light off-roading. The air suspension can raise and lower automatically or be adjusted manually. At speeds above 85km/h, the SUV lowers itself for better aerodynamics and range. Under the skin is a dual-motor quattro all-wheel drive system producing 300kW and 664Nm, allowing 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.9 seconds. The 106kWh (gross 114kWh) battery provides up to 487km of WLTP-rated driving range. Charging options include AC, DC fast charging, and a second onboard charger. The Edition Dakar rides on specially developed 275/55R20 General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires. Their aggressive tread pattern improves acceleration, braking, and handling on gravel, snow, mud, and other loose surfaces. For on-road driving, a set of 20-inch summer tires is included. Optional rally-inspired decals with transparent sections are limited to 99 units worldwide. Inside, the Edition Dakar is equipped with S line sports seats, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and red contrast stitching. Ambient lighting, matrix LED headlights, a head-up display, and Bang & Olufsen sound system add premium touches. Pricing for the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar starts around €120,000 in Germany.
