Pope Francis condemns Iran for using death penalty against demonstrators

In an annual speech to diplomats at the Vatican on Monday the Pope denounced the death penalty worldwide adding that it grossly violates the basic right to life. He also claimed the death penalty in Iran against its people serves simply to fuel vengeance.
