As the sun dipped, we reached Darbhanga Ghat. The wait for Dev Deepawali—the Diwali of the Gods—had begun! The boat sets off! Every ghat is buzzing. Women setting up earthen lamps (diyas), making stunning rangolis. The massive light show preparation at Chet Singh Ghat is in full swing. A strange mix of chaos and peace. From Darbhanga to Assi Ghat, millions of lights are illuminating the Ganga. Looking up, I saw the Kartik Purnima full moon bathing the river in silver. The grand Ganga Aarti's sound fills the air, soaking the soul in tranquility. After crossing all the illuminated sights, seeing Manikarnika Ghat—where life and death coexist 24/7—hit differently. Varanasi-a place where even death is celebrated. As our boat turned back, the sky exploded! Spectacular Dev Deepawali fireworks lit up the night. Varanasi felt peaceful yet beautifully chaotic that day. This divine display is something to be held in the heart forever. ✨🙏
