Hot Wheels Speed Track Mega Loop - GoPro POV

We got some Speed-Track and decided to see how big a loop we could make and still get the Hot Wheels cars and the GoPro Camera car through... We started off small with a safe loop that was around 50cm high - no problems here apart from some stability issues which a safe pair of hands were able to help with. After this we used some boxes for support and we were up at 67cm tall. The loop is a bit wonky but we still have enough speed to make it through and the lumps were not enough to stop us! Next we got some wood involved and managed to add another 20cm onto the height of the loop-de-loop making it 87cm tall. We were still able to get the much maligned Hot Wheels Zoom-In GoPro camera car through although not all the Hot Wheels cars were making it the whole way any more! Lastly we ditched the wood and Orson tried to hold the loop at around a height of 1 metre. The Camera car could not make it anymore but this may have been more down to the stability and lack of perfect-roundness than speed. After this we made a sweet corkscrew track and got some super slow-motion videos of the cars travelling upside down. I think when we are back to nice weather in summer we will try and make a bigger, more stable and round loop to see if we can get any cars the whole way through!
