Visual Description: The majority of the screen is taken up by gameplay footage of Sid Meier's Civilization III. There is webcam footage in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen; it features a woman with brown hair and blue-rimmed eyeglasses. She uses her facial expressions to help communicate her thoughts and feelings as she commentates on her gameplay strategy. A field of dandelions, captured in a photograph, is used as a background/base layer, helpful for displaying "brb" messages during necessary pauses. Description: Feeling frustrated with the Fall of Rome Conquest, I decided to "cut my losses" as the saying goes, and pick up with Conquest 4: The Middle Ages. I ended up going random. I went random and ended up assigned al-Mansur of the Abbasids. I have played this conquest in years past as the Byzantines, so I honestly found it insightful to get to play as the Abbasids this time around. I played on Regent, but I did have some difficulties. If I recall correctly I reloaded at least a couple of times in this particular conquest; I'm sure that there are probably better Civ players out there who would've made different moves than I did. I did enjoy this scenario, and I feel like it challenged my capabilities and forced me to play with different than I would normally be inclined to use. All in all I found this conquest to be an engaging challenge, and I'd say it even has replayability. I hope that this video inspires you to try games that you're interested in playing, even if they may look hard!
