GBD Aromatique Mixture Pipe Tobacco (1950s-1960s)

Many know about the outstanding quality of GBD pipes but some folks are not aware that they also once had an equally impressive line of pipe tobacco for the most discriminating connoisseur. I have a few of GBD blends in my cellar, and today I figured it was a great time (cooler weather means more Latakia blends for me) to open a 8oz cuttertop tin of Aromatique Mixture from the 1950s-1960s. Made in England and is swell as swell can be! Per the tin, "To the finest of the world's aromatic tobaccos, Xanthi and Syrian Mountain Crop Latakia, add, in full measure, well matured Virginia. To enhance the rich fragrance of this now sublime mixture, add the subtle flavours prepared in London from a time-tried, secret recipe. TOBACCO AT IT’S FRAGRANT BEST " Pipe featured today is one of my favorite shapes from Dunhill, a 113 Bing style patent billiard from 1953. Thanks for watching and for your support of my channel. Swell smokes, my friends!
