He is a Biologist and a Psychologist, and has also graduated in Environmental Engineering and in Energy Management. He has directed the Urban Ecology Agency since its creation in 2000 and until 2021. He is currently the President and Director of the Urban and Territorial Ecology Foundation, created by himself in 2021. Moderator: Veerle de Vos is VRT journalist and Brussels native with a passion for mobility and living in the city. Local guests Brussels: Kristiaan Borret is an architect and professor. From 2006 to 2014, he was bouwmeester (city architect) of Antwerp. Since 2015, he has been the bouwmeester maitre architecte of the Brussels Capital Region. Nathanaëlle Baës-Cantillon is an architect, researcher and a teacher. She has co-founded grue. in 2013, an architecture, urban and landscape design office based in Paris and Brussels. Beside her practice, she is currently working on a PHD research focusing on social housing estate in Brussels and their potential for biodiversity. Jens Aerts is engineer-architect at BUUR and has a rich experience in sustainable urban development in Belgium and abroad.
