1955 Chevrolet First start since 1978 BARN FIND

This was my fathers first truck he told me he bought it when he was a senior in high school in 1966 from a farmer for 500 dollars with only 1500 original miles he drove this truck on the road from then to about 1973, then he ended up just using it around the farm it has around 83000 miles on it now.The only major dent in it was the driver front fender where he said he parked if on a hill at my grandmothers house and he had forgot to pull the emergency brake. He told me the carb started acting up in the late 70s so he parked it in one of the old barns.So when i was growing up i used to like to get in it and act like i was driving it.When i became a teenager me and my buddy pulled it down to the building and figured we would try to get it going, thats why theres white spray paint on the passenge side of the truck so when we finally relized with no money we couldn't fix it My dad was always wanting to get it running but he was tight with his money cause usually when he done something like that it always back fired on him.So then we gave up on it we pulled it back to another barn where it had set for another 12 years So after my father passing away me and my same buddy worked on it for a day washing it,buying parts and mechanic-in this is what we got. Heres to you dad I know ur happy to hear this. This is actual first start of it not running since the late seventy's i put a new coil distributor cap, points,a used carb and starter the rear passenger tire is the original tire Check out my other videos of it 2015
