BBC Look East 24/08/12 - Paralympic Flame Celebration

Needham Market is one of 34 communities across the country that will host official Flame Celebrations as part of the London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay. A family focused community celebration at Needham Lake, inspired by the Paralympic Values of determination, inspiration, courage and equality. The event featured a range of artist-led workshops, stilt walkers, a tightrope walker, entertainers and impromptu performances all themed around the London 2012 Paralympic Games. The event featured a range of arts and sports activities, a twilight lantern procession in the High Street with Suffolk Samba and a spectacular Fire Show on the lake. It will also provide a spotlight on disabled performers and disability sport within the county with the involvement of organisations and groups.
