Offscreen Grinding I leveled up Pikachu, Rattata, Butterfree, Horsea, and Geodude to level 22. I also leveled up a Poliwag I caught in Route 22 to level 25 so it could evolve into a Poliwhirl for an NPC trade. Catching Route 3: Arbok, Gulpin, and Jigglypuff. Mt. Moon: Bronzor, Chingling, Clefairy, Geodude, Onyx, Paras, Sandshrew, and Zubat. Route 4: Ekans. Details: Cerulean City Currently, the gym, the NPC trades, and Officer Jenny's bounties are the things you can do not counting the main story. NPC trades: Poliwhirl for a Jynx. Clefairy for a Cleffa. Officer Jenny's bounties EV train a Pokémon stat to 50. You can train in Route 4 if you want to finish the bounty immediately. Teach a Pokémon the move Dig. You will find Dig after you defeat the Team Rocket Grunt. Dig up a Gem. This can usually be done really easily by digging up in Mt. Moon. I was very "unlucky" in this particular case because I mostly found Pokémon and was unable to finish that bounty for now. Catch a Clefairy with the ability Cute Charm. Deliver a Cute Charm Clefairy to Laila. She can be found in Vermillion City's Library. You can find a Hidden Pokéball underneath the bench between the move relearner and the pool. You also get Dig by entering the house north of the Team Rocket Grunt you beat. Route 24 Currently just used to train. Have fun beating a few trainers from here on out! Route 25 By entering Bill's House, you will get access to a S.S Anne Ticket if you help him out. You can find an NPC selling Stardust outside the Item Maniac's House. There is a special Psyduck Quest that can only be completed if you didn't pick Pikachu as a starter Pokémon. When approaching Bill's house, someone asking for help can be heard. This comes from a Psyduck, directly south of Bill's house. Speaking to it starts the Psyduck quest. He will ask to go save other Psyducks, then to go see him again. There are two other Psyducks, which can be within 4 different locations (Route 12/Route 20/Celadon City/Vermillion City). Once the two Psyducks have been found and rescued, the Psyduck of this route will thank the player and give a Psyduck Hat as a reward. Route 5 There is nothing to do for now. Just go through it to reach Route 6! Route 6 In this episode, we just defeated the available trainers but there will be something special coming up!
