How to Connect Firewire to Mac Apple Silicone using Thunderbolt Display

This video covers the alternative way to connecting a firewire800 device to your Apple Silicon device without using the Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire800 adapter for ridiculous prices online since they are no longer being manufactured. Check Ebay and Facebook Marketplace becuase you'll probably find a deal and be able to use the monitor. I'm using a Sony HVR-Z1U in this video and doing a quick test in OBS, if you're going to use this camera legitimately, you should set up some custome ingest settings to get the best possible quality footage from your specific camera using Adobe Premiere Pro or some professional editing software that allows you to set up custom ingest settings.
