Ω Hello everyone. firstly, let me say, special thanks to the following youtubers for letting me use the epic music they've recorded and uploaded. O-NG5T / @o-ng5t69 God of war themes / @godofwarthemes ModM0D._.215 / @alite1107 also special thanks to GMGOW+ / @gmgow as well as many others for their support. now, some of you may be wondering, what did i think about the fight? Hrolf is now my favorite boss in the game, hands down. he may lack in terms of story, scenery and music but his skills make up for it. absolutely phenomenal boss fight, i could go very in depth as to why he's my favorite and what specific mechanics i love but ill keep this brief. this is without a doubt my favorite video I've ever made, as it is the best gameplay performance I've ever had against a boss in any game ever. Watching videos from SMVR, GMGOW+, GBG as well as a few other GOW youtubers made me realize how little i actually use ranged attacks in my prior videos and that my go to skills were very narrow in scope. that's why for this video i made a conscious effort to use as many skills as possible for all 3 weapons, for example, i used Frozen spike, Frozen Breach Glacial rake, Freezing Throw, Vengeful sickle, Evasive storm, Scorched sweep, Blazing Explosion, Evasive embers, Gale force, Impaling thrust and Elemental syphon which are skills i usually neglect in my videos. i also put in great effort to use some cool looking techniques such as using Evasive storm to avoid his vertical hammer slams and flying attack at 1:09, using Blazing explosion at 2:43 and timing scorched sweep to blast through his own fire sweep attack at 3:02. on top of that i spent many hours editing the music to perfectly fit the video, it took Herculean effort to make the music for certain parts, for example timing the music to swell right as scorched sweep hit the ground at 3:02 was very difficult. ensuring Draupnir's theme came on right as i pulled out Draupnir for the first time in the fight at 6:44 was also very hard. i even had to do some very tricky audio editing to get the music at 16:13 to line up perfectly and to crescendo right as Hrolfs head came off. that last segment was a custom mix i downloaded with permission from ModM0D._.215 and that i remixed to sound exactly like the GOWR reveal trailer which I'm very Satisfied with. i also increased the saturation in sharefactory as the normal scenery for this fight has a very dull color pallet, I prefer the sharper colors. overall i am very satisfied with how this turned out, hope you guys enjoy watching it as much as i enjoyed making it. the fight took me over 40 hours and i spent many hours working on the music. this will probably be my last video for a little while don't worry. once NG+ comes out ill have tons of new videos to make which im looking forward to. take care everyone Ω 0:00 Leviathan Axe part 1 2:03 Blades of Chaos 6:44 Draupnir spear. 12:33 Leviathan Axe part 2
