24 October Monsoon Update: Skymet Weather

http://www.skymetweather.com/ Wind: Cool northerly winds from the hills, affecting north and central India, have changed to warmer easterlies. In east India too easterlies will continue to affect for 24 to 48 hours. The low pressure system in the Bay of Bengal will continue to affect the entire peninsular India. Satellite Image: Dense to very dense monsoon clouds can be seen at the Bay of Bengal, along the entire Odisha, Andhra and Tamil Nadu coast. Scattered clouds can be seen at Gangetic West Bengal and at northeast India. North and central India will have partly cloudy to sunny skies. Rainfall: Northeast monsoon will continue to give heavy rain at Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu for next 24 to 48. Rain will be moderate with isolated heavy at Karnataka and Kerala. Light to moderate rain, with isolated heavy will continue at Odisha. Gangetic West Bengal and Northeast India will receive scattered rain. Weather in north and central India continues to be completely dry. Isotherm: North, East and Northeast India: Easterly winds will make the day slightly less warm in the north India. Maximums will drop by a 1 to 2 degrees, not exceeding 32 degrees. Skies will be mainly clear. With not much change, maximums in east India and northeast India, will maintain near the normal average of 28 to 32 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy. Due to the same easterly winds, minimums could rise by a degree 2 to 3 degrees in north India, settling around 19 degrees. In east and northeast, night will be comfortable between minimums between 17 to 22 degrees. Central India: Days could be a bit warm in central India, with maximums between 31 to 33 degrees. Gujarat will be slightly less hot at 34 degrees. Night temperatures will rise but will still be comfortable, between 17 to 21 degrees. Peninsular India: Mercury levels have dropped by 2 to 4 degrees in most parts due to heavy showers. Maximums in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are 3 to 5 degrees below normal. Temperatures will continue to be cool as rain continues. Minimums will be breezy and a slightly humid, between 20 to 25 degrees in entire peninsular India.
