My nephew was flying his Hawk Sky, so I decided to follow him around with the Easy Star. I've never flown formation via FPV before, so it was fun! I lost sight of him, turned back to fly another circuit around the field and get in position again, then out of nowhere we collide! I never saw him coming, can't see it reviewing the video either. He was flying visually, and said he was coming up along side of me to get back in front when I turned and clipped the nose of his plane. Mine started rolling hard and nosed down. I cut the throttle and tried to stop the spin, but with little effect. He said his plane nosed down and rolled, but he was able to pull out of it immediately. After mine nosed in, I looked up to see his flying away, and foam pieces floating down! lol He landed safely with only a lit scuff across the nose, and a missing canopy. We later found his canopy not far from where mine piled up, and mine in pieces! One of my ailerons was stuck up and the cable was unplugged. The cables run outside the fuselage just under the wing roots. I'm thinking maybe it came unplugged when they first made contact, hence my having very little roll control. My Easy Star took on a lot of damage. From the wing forward is all crushed up and broken. The camera is packed with dirt, pan/tilt broken and it's servos stripped, and sadly the connectors are broken off my new Immersion video transmitter. I haven't tested any of the gear yet to see what works and what doesn't, kinda discouraged right now. I'm putting this video in the Dragon Link contest so maybe I can win a receiver to offset some of the repair costs! haha Wish me luck! . __ Patreon: / bonafidepirate You can help to support my channel by using the affiliate links below when making a purchase: Banggood - http://bit.ly/piratebgood eBay - http://ebay.to/2r7k3mb Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/shop/bonafidep... I use an older Racewood type they used to sell, but these are supposed to be at least as good with the same Comtech tuners in them. Apparently Racewood is no longer in business, so here's what replaced them: https://goo.gl/xC2RLx I use this 8dbi Patch Antenna, it has been my go-to antenna for a long time now, for years! lol I've been out more then 10 miles using one of these and the 800mW vtx listed above: https://goo.gl/hGmcNS On the transmitter side, the stock dipoles that come with them work pretty good together with that patch, but if you want slightly better performance and less weight/drag, consider these: https://goo.gl/CPuFGf
