Congress party faced a legal notice over the tweets posted on its official handle. The grandnephew of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar has reportedly sent a notice to Congress party president and vice-president. He alleged that some of the tweets posted on the handle in the month of March were defamatory to the RSS ideologue. One of the tweets read: “Bhagat Singh waged war for Freedom from British Raj, VD Savarkar begged for mercy, to be a slave in British Raj.
