Ian causes flooding, brings down trees across the Carolinas

Ian, which made landfall in South Carolina Friday, caused flooding, storm surge, and wind damage across both North Carolina and South Carolina Friday. Around Charlotte, Ian caused mostly wind and tree damage. Some of the most significant verified storm reports included a tree that fell and destroyed a mobile home on Sanibel Road. A large tree fell on a car along Rutgers Avenue, which was closed as crews worked to clear the downed tree.
