US football team training in Sao Paulo ahead of their game with Portugal

(20 Jun 2014) Team USA gave another news conference on Friday morning to talk about their preparations for the game against Portugal, which will take place in the hot and humid city of Manaus over the weekend. Defender Michael Bradley said the team was excited by the challenges but all the team are concerned about is following up one great result with another. Goalscorer Clint Dempsey, who looked a doubt after a nose injury sustained in the game against Ghana, will be available for Sunday's match. Regardless of who gets the nod to start against the Portuguese, 31-year-old Californian Chris Wondolowski said the squad have faith in the coaching staff. Chris Wondolowski led Major League Soccer with 18 regular-season goals in 2010 and 27 in 2012, and tied for the lead with 16 in 2011. He may form a strike partnership with Dempsey. Portugal lost their first game against Germany and will risk elimination from the tournament if they lose against the US.
