How To Find Removed Friends

How To Find Removed Friends

Snapchat doesn’t provide a direct way to view a list of friends you've removed. Once a friend is deleted, their name disappears from your contacts and chat list, making it difficult to track unless you remember their username. However, there are two effective ways to potentially find or recover removed friends: manually searching usernames or requesting your account data through Snapchat. To begin, open the Snapchat app and tap the search bar (magnifying glass icon) in the top-left or top-right corner of the screen. If you remember the username or display name of the person you removed, type it in the search field. If the user appears in the results with an “Add” button next to their name, that means they’re no longer on your friend list and can be re-added. This method works best if you remember who you removed. If you don’t remember their usernames, the most accurate method is to request your Snapchat account data. To do this, tap your Bitmoji or profile icon in the top-left corner of the app. Then tap the gear icon in the top-right to access Settings. Scroll down and select “My Data” under the “Privacy” section. Snapchat will ask you to log in again via the web to complete the request. Once logged in at [https://accounts.snapchat.com](https://accounts.snapchat.com), choose "My Data" and submit the request. Within a few hours, Snapchat will email you a downloadable file containing your account history, including your friend list history, which may help you identify removed or deleted friends. This file includes usernames and timestamps of interactions, which can help you manually search and re-add those users. Keep in mind, re-adding a removed friend doesn’t guarantee they’ll accept your request again—especially if they’ve also removed or blocked you.
