Cactus to Clouds (C2C) - Mt San Jacinto - Palm Springs, CA - Hardest Day Hike in the US?

5/9/22. This was my third time doing this hike, as I usually do it once a year. Cactus to Clouds (C2C for short) is the most elevation gain (on one trail) for any hike in the United States. You start down in the desert of Palm Springs barely above sea level, and summit Mt San Jacinto which is just below 11,000' elevation. On the way, you get up to Grubbs Notch at Long Valley, then proceed up to Round Valley and Wellman Dividie. It's 15.5 miles up, and then you can just hike down 5.5 and take the tram the rest of the way (Palm Springs Aerial Tram).
