San Joaquin River Rescue: Bystander who helped rescued mother, daughter yet to be found

A mother and her 5-year-old daughter were rescued from the San Joaquin River after their vehicle went into the water. The woman was driving an SUV northbound on Airport Way south of the San Joaquin River Bridge when, for unknown reasons, steered to the right down an embankment and hit a tree before going in the river, releases from both the city of Tracy and the California Highway Patrol Tracy division explained.
