FORECAST: Scattered showers, storms look likely for Friday

Look for high temperatures to reach around 92 this afternoon; well above normal for this time of year. Factor in the humidity and feels like temperatures will be in the mid 90s under partly cloudy skies. Not much wind to help out either. Scattered showers and storms look likely for Friday. Rain could begin in the late morning, but the best chance will be in the late afternoon as a cold front pushes over us. While some may miss out, heavy rain will be possible in spots and a few storms could produce damaging wind and small hail. The best chance of severe storms will be north and west of Kansas City. Isolated showers and storms will still be possible Friday night and early Saturday morning, but the rest of the weekend is looking dry. Highs will be in the upper 80s Saturday and around 90 Sunday with slightly lower humidity than what we've been seeing.
