StormTrack 8 Morning Forecast May 18

Starting today off with both frost and fog. Areas from Dubuque to Freeport are under a frost Advisory until 8am. We’re seeing patchy fog in Southeast Iowa and west central Illinois. Visibility could be reduced to a quarter of a mile at times. The fog will mix out as we move into the late morning hours. Sunshine returns today along with warmer temperatures. Daytime highs will climb into the upper 60s all across the area. Temperatures will be on the cool side tonight, with overnight lows dropping into the low 40s. The clear skies will continue to stick around this evening. The warming trend continues into Thursday, as daytime highs reach the low 70s. We’ll see the dry skies and warmer temperatures stick around as we move into the weekend as well. Meteorologist Kelsey Woodard
