TBPPM Webinar 23-3 | Nigeria: Private Healthcare TB services impacted by the pandemic

The COVID Effects on TB Services in the Private Sector (COVET) study set out to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tuberculosis services in the private health care sectors of India, Indonesia, and Nigeria. In this webinar we will learn about the results from the COVET study in Nigeria, particular surrounding changes in availability of TB and COVID-19 services in the private sector, effects on care-seeking and pathways to care among people with TB, and the quality of TB care measured using standardized patient visits. Following the review of these results, representatives from the National Tuberculosis Programme in Nigeria will offer their reflections and provide additional context on national progress and plans toward PPM goals. Some of the overall questions guiding this webinar are: • What has been the impact of COVID-19 on private TB services in Nigeria? • What do these results tell us about the future of PPM for TB in Nigeria? • What do you see as key challenges in PPM in Nigeria in the post-COVID era, and how can the country overcome these challenges to lead to progress and success? ---------- The program (60min online webinar): • “The impact of COVID-19 on private healthcare facilities in Indonesia” – Bolanle Olusola-Faleye (15min) • NTP reflections and PPM national progress & plans– Chukwuma Anyaike (10min) • Q & A – Moderator: Lauren Rosapep and Charity Omenka ------------- Check out other TBPPM Webinars:    • TBPPM Webinars   Be a part of the TBPPM Learning Network: https://www.tbppm.org/ Follow us on Twitter:   / tb_ppm
