Miata Breaks on the backstretch

This is the last the car will be driven in 2013 due to unforseen events. At the present time I'm not sure what happened. I think my clutch exploded or aliens ofcourse. I was on the back stretch at Gingerman, I shifted into 4, then at around 95-97 I lifted, clutch in, put it in nuetral, and there was a snap crackle pop.
