Canelo Álvarez will put his undisputed super middleweight title on the line against unbeaten former world champion Jaime Munguía on Saturday, 4 May at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The two Mexican fighters made their Grand Arrivals at the MGM Grand Resort and Casino on Tuesday. The Cinco de Mayo weekend bout will mark the fourth time Álvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) has defended his belts, the most-recent being on 30 September: a unanimous-decision win over Jermell Charlo. In his last bout - on 27 January - the 27-year-old Munguía (43-0, 34 KOs) took down John Ryder by TKO - the fourth knockout of an opponent in his last five fights. Saturday's fight marks the first time that two Mexicans have battled in an undisputed championship fight since Rafael Herrera knocked out Ruben Olivares for the WBA and WBC bantamweight belts in 1972.
