It is an Iranian super cavitation torpedo claimed to travel at approximately 220mph which is several times faster than a conventional torpedo. This speed is achieved by using rocket exhaust heat to vaporize water in the path of the weapon, allowing it to travel in a gas bubble with minimal drag resistance. It can be launched from a ship against sub-marines or ships. According to sources, it is a reverse-engineered version of Russian Shkval super-cavitation torpedo which also travels at the same speed. It has an operational range of 6 miles. It uses a Solid-Fuel Rocket Engine and is equipped with a powerful High Explosive warhead. Iranian officials claim that it has a very powerful warhead designed to hit big sub-marines and even if enemy warship sensors identify the missile, no warship can escape from this missile because of its high speed.
