Method for Puran Poli recipe · First take maida in a bowl and add water to make a dough. · Once dough is prepared take 1-2 tsp of oil and apply the same to our kneaded dough. · Knead it again and let the dough rest aside. · Take Chana Dal (Split chickpeas) and cook it in a pressure cooker by adding 2 cups of water and turn of gas after 3 whistle. · Once cooked now don't throw the water used to cook the Chana Dal (Split chickpeas). This can be used to make Katachi Amti in episode- Part-2. . Now smash the cooked Chana Dal (Split chickpeas). . To make puran heat a pan and now add this cooked & smashed Chana Dal (Split chickpeas) with Gul (Jaggery ). . As the Gul (Jaggery ) turn to melt our puran is getting ready. . Add Cardamom and stir it properly to cook on slow flame. . Once our puran is ready take a Chalni (Sieve ) and add this cooked paste of Gul (Jaggery )& smashed Chana Dal (Split chickpeas). . Now take our dough and add this puran as shown in video. Roll this in round shape and then same can be cooked in a pan. . Apply Ghee (Clarified butter) on both sides of the bread (Puran Poli). .
