The Lord President Lord Hamilton gives responses to the Scottish Parliament's Justice Committee considering the Judiciary & Courts (Scotland) Bill. Lord Hamilton here gives his replies on Judicial Independence. Lord Hamilton also adds an interesting opinion that within legislation, the Courts should be able to demand or require a set minimum level of funding from Government for proper functioning of the judicial system if the Court so needed to do so.
