Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) Tacloban - Typhoon Haiyan

http://www.etcluster.org/ Super Typhoon Haiyan (known locally as Yolanda) made landfall in Guiuan, Eastern Samar early on 8 November. With maximum sustained winds of 235 Kph it has caused massive destruction. It is estimated that around 13 million people have been affected in 36 provinces with 3 million displaced. Telecommunications and electricity across the affected areas have been severely disrupted. The Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) has been activated in the country to provide security and data telecommunications and coordination services to the humanitarian community responding to the crisis.
