Man charged with killing CPD officer, critically injuring another due back in court Tuesday in previ

Alphanso Talley, a 26-year-old Chicago man, appeared in Cook County Circuit Court on Monday. He was charged with 20 total felony counts, including one of first-degree murder and one of attempted first-degree murder, in relation to Saturday's shooting that killed CPD officer John Bartholomew and critically injured his 57-year-old partner. Talley's next court appearance in the murder of Bartholomew and the attempted murder of his CPD partner is scheduled for Thursday.
