Pima Community College Chorale and College Singers

Pima Community College Chorale and College Singers, under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Ng, presents their Spring semester concert with some comforting and uplifting lyrics and music during this trying pandemic time. Chorale will perform Barbara Allen, Danny Boy arr. by Linda Spevacek; Beautiful Dreamer arr. by Gilbert Martin; inspiring and motivating You raise my up arr. by Tom Fettke; Flight Songs by Kim A. Arnesen and the always fun Broadway medley Oklahoma arr. by Willam Stickes. College Singers will present the German madrigal: Nun fanget an by Hans Leo Hassler; patriotic song Distant Land by John Rutter; Lenten seasonal music So ist mein Jesu nun gefangen from “St. Matthew Passion” by J. S. Bach for soprano and mezzo-soprano duet with chorus; Excerpts from “Coronation Mass” K. 317 with vocal quartet and chorus by W. A. Mozart; heartening and healing Lullaby by Ryan Murphy; Broadway favorite tunes – Webber Love Trio by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the stirring Ubi caritas by Houghton Lee. This concert is accompanied by Ms. Shuo Pan.
