The conversation sparked after Gabriella Papadakis’ nip-slip at the Winter Olympics this weekend. The pair were discussing Olympic skater Gabriella Papadakis’ unfortunate nip slip on Good Morning Britain, when Kate made the bizarre request. Gabriella and her partner Guillame Cizeron, were competing in the short dance when her dress fell out of place. She struggled to pin her dress back in place after exposing her to the millions watching the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. This morning, Susanna Reid admitted she was shocked by the outrage which followed Gabriella’s wardrobe malfunction, explaining: “Do you know what, I’m watching that and thinking, it’s just another bit of skin.” “The boys do it all the time on Dancing On Ice,” Kate agreed. Susanna, 47, continued: “I don’t know why we’re so squeamish about it.” “Well, I think I do know why we’re so self-conscious,” her co-host noted. “You would be self-conscious.” But Susanna wasn’t impressed, adding: “I think this is what I am trying to process, that if it was you, me, I just think, the full arms on display, pretty much all of my body, it’s literally just another bit.” Kate then demanded that the brunette beauty showcase her own “Get them out now!” she begged. Stunned, Susanna hit back: “No, I’m not suggesting that.” But Kate persisted: “Come on, let’s get it all open. Open and transparency this morning, that’s what we’re all about.” “I think you’re taking it slightly too far,” the mother-of-three warned the presenter. Kate, 50, asked: “Am I taking it too far? “It’s the chair. It always goes too far when I’m in the chair.” Susanna Reid | GMB | Good Morning Britain | Gabriella Papadakis’ |
