Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation(CCMC) hosts "World Environmental Day 2017" as on June 5' 2017 to celebrate BLUE-GREEN DAY,wherein Multiple Events happened across City Coimbatore depicting the theme BLUE-GREEN DAY,a day to initiate a practice of using two bin system of source segregation across the city . Multiple Events like Flag Off of Source Segregation March by Sanitary Workers at 100Wards , Online Blue Green Public Pledging , Mass Pledging, Signature Campaign , Release of Helium Blue-Green Balloons , Visit to Compost Yards , Recognition of Stakeholders supporting and working actively along with CCMC , E - Recycling using the scrap Computer and parts from Corporate, Book Recycling by donating used books to the local schools .
