Prince Edward revealed today that the Duke of Edinburgh was 'a lot better' and was 'looking forward' to getting out of hospital after more than a week. Edward, who lives at Bagshot Park in Surrey, spoke as Buckingham Palace revealed Philip remained in hospital to receive treatment for an 'infection' - but he is not expected to leave for several days. A palace spokesman said: 'The Duke of Edinburgh remains at King Edward VII's Hospital where he is receiving medical attention for an infection. He is comfortable and responding to treatment but is not expected to leave hospital for several days.' The Duke's stay at hospital in London's Marylebone entered an eighth day today - his longest medical admission for at least a decade without a pre-planned operation.
